One of the greatest joys of her life is creating art inspired by nature. Her artwork has been featured in several exhibitions and publications, and she enjoys sharing her enthusiasm for art through children’s workshops. She is also a freelance writer.

Ying-Yueh Chuang has a diploma and degree in Fine Arts from Langara and Emily Carr respectively, in addition to a MFA in Ceramics from NSCAD University. She has taught ceramics across Canada; currently she teaches at Kwantlen Polytechnic University.
She has exhibited locally, nationally and internationally and has received many grants and awards.
Her work is found in many public and private collections and has been featured in international publications.

Nickie Lewis is an artist residing on the unceded lands of the Tsleil Waututh and Musqueam first nations people, also known as Burnaby B.C..
She specializes in eco-friendly art created entirely out of natural organic materials such as cedar sticks, moss, jute twine, and yard waste. She endeavors to spread joy through her magical, whimsical sculptures, while inviting viewers to get outside and admire the art of nature, and to engage with the world around them.

Kacey Hughes, Claudia Zilin Shen and Kelly Yorke are a group of three senior students within the Bachelor of Fine Arts program at Kwantlen Polytechnic University. They are also executive members of the Kwantlen Art Collective. Hughes, Shen and Yorke have exhibited together extensively and worked closely together on a number of artistic projects.
Their varying personal practices encompass a wide variety of mediums with a group focus on installation art.

Carol is a self-taught local artist who has been working with fused glass for the past ten years. She finds creating scenes and allowing people to feel her abstracts when observing them to be very rewarding.
She works with a variety of mediums: carving; wood, stone, antler; watercolour painting, and jewelry making where she cuts and polishes the stones that she uses. She enjoys blending her different art forms together to create something beautiful.

Poet, writer, songwriter and orator Teresa Klein is a multi-media and natural materials public engagement artist. Geo-poetics, Indigenous knowing and the natural world greatly inspire her work. With more than 35 years experience with garden design, herbal medicine, food foraging, and as an instructor practitioner of Chi Kung and meditation, her events are often integrative and encourage the use of all our senses. With gratitude, her list of teachers and mentors is far reaching.

Celeste Nazeli Snowber, PhD is a dancer, poet/writer and an award winning educator who is a Professor in the Faculty of Education at Simon Fraser University. Celeste has written extensively and her books include, Embodied inquiry: Writing living and being through the body, three collections of poetry and her most recent book is Dance, place and poetics: Site-specific performance as a portal to knowing. Celeste creates site-specific performances in the natural world, including botanical gardens and sites between land and sea.

In 2022, the Darts Hill Garden Conservancy Trust Society welcomed the Z.inc Artist Collective’s temporary outdoor exhibition “Panoply” to Darts Hill Garden Park. Z.inc and invited artists created unique installations that contemplated the dynamic bond between art, nature and people. The artworks contributed to the cultural life of the community and inspired the public to make new discoveries with every visit to this spectacular garden. In 2021, the Darts Hill Garden Conservancy Trust Society was pleased to sponsor “Resplendent”, a temporary art display in the garden organized by Surrey-based Z.inc Artist Collective. Building on two previous successful exhibitions at Darts Hill Garden, Z.inc and invited artists continued to explore new ways of making art in this spectacular natural setting. Using a variety of materials, the artists created installations – evocative, contemplative, and beautiful – that provided novel ways for visitors to experience the garden.
