Alpine Beds – Funding Award from the North American Rock Garden Society

Darts Hill Society applied for and was awarded funding from the North American Rock Garden Society (NARGS) to support our Alpine Rock Gardens construction and planting. The Norman Singer Endowment Fund provides one -time funding for projects that advance the art and science of rock gardening. The Darts Hill submission was one of two proposals approved for funding at the NARGS Annual Meeting held in August in Santa Fe, New Mexico. The other selected proposal was from the Yampa River Botanic Park in Colorado. Each of the selected projects will receive $ 1,480 US. A condition of the award is to provide photographs and descriptions of our project that will be published in the NARGS Quarterly. This magazine is distributed to NARGS world wide members, great publicity for Darts Hill Garden Park. Francisca Darts was a long time member of NARGS and there are many years of their Quarterly in her library. The Darts Hill Society wishes to thank Pamela Yokome for her initiative in applying for and securing this award for the Garden.
